Maftuna Saitkhanova

Born in Russia, Ms Maftuna started learning the violin at the age of 5. She is a winner of a number of competitions and has participated in music festivals. Maftuna has completed her Bachelor’s degree at Saratov State Conservatory, mentored by Mindlin Mikhail, Nesterov Sergei, Goldenber Anna and Ryu Hee Yoon. She had collaborations with Denis Severin, Alexander Rudin, Nikolai Managadze, Aziz Shokhakimov, Yuri Simonov, Vladimir Neymer and Anatoliy Levin. With the conservatory orchestra Maftuna toured the major cities of Russia.

Ms Maftuna has varied teaching experience with children of different ages, as well as with adults in Russia, Uzbekistan and Singapore. At Saratov State Conservatory Ms Maftuna served as chamber music assistant. In addition to her extensive teaching career, Maftuna also enriched her performing experience by playing in the Saratov chamber orchestra. Besides teaching, Maftuna enjoys performing solo and chamber music.
